With the Kings & Queens of old.....well, at least in their castle! Spent a great day touring around Edinburgh - the Castle, the Royal Mile and then underground to see some 18th Century homes along the Mary King Close (a close is a really skinny street/alley between buildings that are up to 14 stories tall - a close is steep and filled with doorways to houses, shops and pubs today - the Mary King Close along with 4 others were covered over by a government building in the 1700's).
We've been able to watch a lot of Olympic coverage by the BBC as it's on in every pub and also in our hotel. Tomorrow we're off to Stirling Castle to see the sites and the sword of Wallace.
On the way home from dinner, with the kids having gone ahead, Stephanie and I walked through the rain and while crossing the North Bridge saw the most brilliant rainbow we've ever witnessed. I totally failed to take a picture with the iPad so I could share it! It reminded us of God's grace and mercy - He promises it will never again rain forever.
