Photos from Great Britain - Scotland

Scotland was unique, having a flavor much different than just its accent. We really enjoyed learning some history and especially visiting Stirling Castle, so important to Scottish independence (i.e. Braveheart). I don't have those photos with me in Indianapolis where I am officiating at the Junior National Swimming Championships. I'll get them later. Stirling was a really neat castle to visit.

In Edinburgh
In a "close", a street bordered by buildings up to 14 stories, containing stores and homes

Inside Edinburgh Castle
Each day a cannon is fired from the castle at 1 p.m. Ships in the harbor blow a horn back

Dinner the first night. The Sherlock Holmes author was born nearby
